Design Technology
Curriculum Intent
At Peacehaven Community School, Design Technology embodies our school's vision by cultivating innovative and resourceful problem-solvers who contribute meaningfully to society. Our curriculum focuses on fostering creativity, adaptability, and critical thinking, enabling students to meet the demands of an ever-changing world. By actively engaging in projects that consider societal and environmental impacts, our students become responsible, conscientious designers who contribute positively to their community and beyond.
Our students develop a strong foundation in practical skills, as well as an appreciation for aesthetics and cultural values. We empower students to challenge expectations and to innovate, ensuring they are well-prepared for a range of creative and practical career paths. Our after school clinics provide individualised support and enrichment, reflecting our commitment to each student's personal growth and success.
Our Design Technology curriculum exemplifies our dedication to providing an inclusive, resilient learning environment that inspires students to aspire, believe, contribute, and achieve. We are proud to nurture the designers and innovators of tomorrow, equipping them with the tools they need to make a lasting, positive impact on our world.
