PCS Climate Ambassadors

Earlier this month, Tianne, Maisie and Ray wrote to Lewes Town Council to share their concerns about discarded fishing tackle and its impact on marine life and the local environment if not properly disposed of.

Representatives from the PCS Climate Ambassadors team were delighted to join Steve Tapp from the Anglers Natonal Recycing Team today at the bottom of Bastion Steps today to support him with the installation of a recycling point at Peacehaven Beach.

If you are out and about over the Christmas break, and do find any discarded plastic or fishing tackle/bits of net, please do feel free to deposit it into the recycling point. It is easily identifiable by its PCS Eco logo.

The recycled waste will be measured and weighed across the course of next year and we shall look at how we can repurpose this plastic into useful household objects.
